Who is the ring pen for?
People whose hands are misshapen.
People with little strength in the hands and/or fingers.
Seniors who find it hard to hold a pen while writing. Their fingers hurt because they are less flexible with age, rheumatism, or arthritis. Their writing is unsteady.
For everyone. If you write a lot, and for a long time, with a round pen, a bump can form on your finger and your hand can go numb after a while. The Ring Pen works for right-handed and left-handed writers.
Some people have little or no use of their arms. The ring pen can also slip onto the toes.
How do you use the ring pen?
Slip your index finger through the opening, and let the neighboring fingers (thumb and middle finger) rest beside it, without tension. The tip of the index finger should rest on the ridged part of the pen. Keep the palm as close to the ring as you can.
The shape of the pen naturally leads to a relaxed finger position. While you write, do not squeeze. Hold it lightly and let your fingers glide the tip along, keeping the support at point A. If you are holding it correctly, you only need the thumb and index finger, not the middle finger.
If a regular pen is hard to hold, you will find the right finger position on your own. The lack of pain is encouragement enough.
If writing does not usually hurt, you will need to let go of the long habit of squeezing the pen. Simply rest your fingers there, without clenching or tension, and write.
After a little practice, you will notice your fingers stay relaxed and you can write for a long time without strain.
