This elastic lace technology (an indexed knot cord), patented worldwide, allows "adjustable tension" between the eyelets. It improves hold, comfort, and how the shoe performs.
Once the Xtenex® lace is in place, you slip shoes on like slippers and get the same fit every time. The foot is held without being squeezed. The lacing is anatomical and shaped to each foot.
During fitting, stretching the elastic lace flattens the knots so they slide freely through the eyelets. They then reform and lock in each eyelet, for a precise fit a regular lace cannot match. Once in place, the Xtenex® lace does not come undone and does not slip.
The Xtenex® lace does not squeeze the foot even if it swells, and it keeps the foot aligned. You can put on and take off a shoe fitted with an Xtenex® lace without tying or untying it.
Even with a very wide foot, a shorter length can be enough, because the self-locking knots allow several lacing patterns: double crisscross, simple zigzag, simple S-lacing...
