About the Synopte Alzheimer's clock

 

• This clock is designed for people who have trouble keeping track of time, who live with cognitive changes, or who are facing Alzheimer's.
• The 24 hours are divided into 5 colored sections, which makes it easier to mark specific parts of the day and keep a steady rhythm.
• Morning (green), midday (yellow), afternoon (orange), evening (red), and night (blue) are the 5 sections. The night section (blue) is adjustable (3 parts of 6 hours each) so it can match each person's needs. You can show a night of up to 18 hours, and place it whenever you need.
• The clock comes with 19 magnetic pictograms that attach directly to the face. At a glance, the user can see which activity is planned and, just as important, when it will happen (see all the magnetic pictograms in the product images).
• Please note: you cannot write directly on the clock face. 
• Two symbols (sunrise and sunset) show on the face when night will fall or day will begin. A practical way to keep the day organized through every season.
• The quartz movement is quiet. The long hand shows the hours, and the second hand shows that the clock is running and which way it moves. When it stops, replace the battery (not included).
• Hours and half hours are marked so the time is as easy to read as possible (within about 5 to 10 minutes).
• The days of the week are shown at the bottom of the face. A magnetic cursor, moved each morning, marks the current day.
• We recommend mounting the clock on a wall with the included mounting kit (fasteners, screws, and a wall anchor). You will need to drill a 6 mm hole in the wall.
