Overview

Folding 81 cm reacher with a rotating head and magnetic tip

The folding 81 cm reacher helps when bending, reaching, or grasping something out of range is difficult. Use it to pick up an item from the floor, take something from a cupboard, or collect a small piece of trash indoors or in the yard.

At 81 cm when open, it cuts down on awkward extra movements. You can stay standing or seated while you grab the item. It suits seniors, people with limited mobility, and anyone who wants to limit bending or overhead reaching.

What sets this reacher apart is its head that rotates 90°. That rotation lets you aim the jaws at the object. Use it head-on, from the side, under furniture, or in a tight spot. The 9 cm jaw opening handles many everyday items, within that opening.

A magnetic tip makes small metal items easier to retrieve. Use it for keys, coins, or another metal piece on the floor or in a corner. For anything the magnet does not pick up, it still works as a regular reacher.

A reacher shaped around everyday tasks

Dropping your keys, a piece of clothing, or a small object is frustrating when you are less flexible or worried about losing your balance. The reacher lets you pick the item up without crouching. Keep it close in a room you use often, near a chair, or in a closet.

In the kitchen, it helps you reach an item on a shelf or at the back of a cabinet. It can also retrieve something that fell between two pieces of furniture. You make smaller movements and stay steadier while you take hold.

In a bedroom or living room, use it to pick up clothing, paper, or a small accessory. If you are seated, it widens what you can reach without getting up. If you are standing, it limits repeated bending.

In the yard, it can help you pick up small bits of trash without bending each time. The sturdy build covers a range of jobs in the house and around the home. At 230 g, you are not holding a heavy tool while you use it.

Features and benefits of the folding reacher

An 81 cm length for items that are out of reach

Open, the reacher measures 81 cm. That length extends your arm to the floor, a shelf, or a space behind furniture. You can stay a little farther from the item and still control the grip from the handle.

That reach helps if bending is uncomfortable. It can also help a wheelchair user who cannot get close enough to an object. The reacher extends your arm for simple tasks through the day.

It can mean fewer requests for help with small items the reacher can get. You keep control of ordinary tasks, such as retrieving your keys or taking a light item from a cupboard.

A head that rotates 90° so you can set the angle

The head that rotates 90° lets you adjust how the reacher is aimed. Objects do not all sit the same way. Some lie flat, others are stuck against a wall or tucked in a corner. The rotation helps you line the jaws up with the object.

That helps under a table, in a cupboard, near a wall, or between two pieces of furniture. Find the best angle, then squeeze the handle. The grip is more direct, without turning your whole arm or shifting your body.

That adjustment makes the reacher more versatile. It is not limited to objects sitting right in front of you. It can work from several directions, depending on the space around the object.

A magnetic tip for small metal objects

The magnetic tip makes small metal pieces easier to pick up. A coin or a key can be hard to catch with the jaws, especially when it lies flat on the floor. The magnet lifts it without a precise pinch.

It is a simple help when something drops. Bring the tip to the metal piece, then lift it toward you. You avoid kneeling or trying to slide your fingers under the object.

The magnet adds to the reacher without replacing its main job. For other objects, squeeze the handle and use the regular gripping jaws.

An ergonomic handle with a non-slip coating

The handle has a non-slip rubber coating. That coating helps keep your hand in place while you use it. The feel is softer than a hard, smooth handle.

The trigger sits under the handle. Squeeze it to close the jaws on the object. You can keep your hand in a natural position through the motion. Control stays at the handle, so you do not have to handle the head of the reacher.

A steady grip helps when your hands are weaker or you do not want the tool to slip. The light 230 g weight also limits what you hold at the end of your arm.

A 9 cm jaw opening

The reacher has a 9 cm jaw opening. That opening can grab everyday objects that fit within it. Catch the item between the two sides of the head, then bring it closer.

For a steadier hold, center the object in the opening before you squeeze the handle. The rotating head can help you find the right angle. You can try again if the object was not lined up the first time.

It fits the everyday uses the manufacturer describes, such as picking up trash, taking items from cupboards, and retrieving small objects.

A folding reacher that is easy to store and carry

Folds with a push button

The reacher folds. A push button works the mechanism. Folding shortens it when you are not using it.

Open, it measures 810 x 130 x 35 mm. Folded, it measures 460 x 140 x 80 mm. Length goes from 81 cm to 46 cm. That size is easier to store in a closet, a car trunk, or a spot set aside for daily living aids.

Folding also makes it easier to take along. It takes less room than a fixed reacher of the same length. You can bring it to a family member's home, a residence, or a stay away from home.

A 230 g weight for lighter handling

At a net weight of 230 g, the reacher stays light in the hand. That matters when you hold it at arm's length. A heavier reacher can tire the wrist during repeated use.

The light weight also makes it easier to carry. You can move it from room to room or put it away without hauling a bulky piece of equipment.
