How do I use the Buffalo transfer board?   

Transfer to a chair : Sit as close as you can to the edge of the seat, set the board between the wheelchair armrest and the chair armrest, and make sure the board is stable before you transfer.

Transfer to the car: Sit as close as you can to the edge of the car seat, set the board at the wheelchair armrest, and make sure the board is stable before you transfer.

Transfer to the bed: Sit as close as you can to the edge of the bed, set the board at the wheelchair armrest, and make sure  the board is stable on the mattress before you transfer.

Transfer to the toilet: Set the board at the wheelchair armrest and make sure  the board is stable on the mattress before you transfer.
